Lockhart River Arts Indigenous Corporation receives current funding from the Australian Government through the Department of Communications and the Arts under the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support (IVAIS) program.

The Corporation also receives current funding from the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland's Backing Indigenous Arts initiative (BIA) program and the Regional Arts Development Fund (IRADF).

Business Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-3pm. Free entry.

The Lockhart River Arts Centre is proud to announce the return of established Lockhart River Artist Samantha Hobson back into our portfolio of artists.

The finalisation of Samantha’s return was confirmed in January 2017. Samantha was one of the original ART GANG members. Her arts career developed progressively in the late 90’s.

The guide provides key information for tourist visitors intending to travel to Lockhart River. Lockhart River Arts Centre is a member of Tourism Cape York and has benefitted from the publication reach strategy. The guide provides information to valued visitors and readers on the Arts Centre’s profile, opening times, contact details and geographical location information. The dry season annually starts in late December and goes through to late April.
